Haven’t posted a good rumour in a while, so I found this quite interesting. It seems that our overlords over at Santa Clara plan to skip the 800 series entirely.
Apart from the Titan cards, the latest and greatest from NVIDIA is the 700 series. Hilbert over at Guru3D reports that, according to channel rumours that float around, on September 9th NVIDIA plans to introduce its latest Maxwell graphics architecture. One week later, on September 19th, two new high-end graphics cards will be released. But it seems NVIDIA will choose the GTX 980 and GTX 970, skipping the 800 line altogether.
The dates are close, so we’ll see whether this rumour has any merit or not.
