Firefly holds a dear place in every sci-fi fan’s heart after all these years; and we were thrilled last year when at San Diego’s Comic-Con, it was announced that a new game called Firefly Online. This year brought some more excellent news.
At SDCC 2014, it was announced that the original cast has agreed to return to reprise their roles for the game. A new trailer was out too about the game, which features non other than Nathan Fillion, better known as Captain Malcom Reynolds from the show. The game is described as an “online strategic roleplaying game,” and you will have a ship of your own to manage and travel the rich cosmos of the show. Spark Plug Games, the studio responsible for the game, has announced versions for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS, but so far there are no more details about a release date on the horizon. We can’t wait either way.
